Świadomość Neue Bieriemiennost
In 1985 Marek Kijewski, Mirosław Bałka and Mirosław Filonik co-founded Świadomość Neue Bieriemiennost. Their activities included sculpture, exhibition installations and actions. Kijewski’s early work formed part of the New Expression movement.
Exhibitions and actions
The group’s main period of activity was 1985–1987. The chronology also records a Neue Bieriemiennost presentation in 1988 and Keine Neue Bieriemiennost in Białystok in 1989. Photographs and documents relating to the group are held in collections including U-jazdowski’s Mediateka.
