Gold in the sculptures
Marek Kijewski combined gold with wood, rubber, nuts, artificial fur, sweets and bricks. Welcome, Pneumatics from 1992 and Untitled from 1994 contain 24-carat gold. The material is also specified in the drawing for Golden Shot.
Colour symbolism
In the Ethical Bits system, gold represented energy, blue represented spirit and red represented matter. These colours appeared in modular structures and gates, and in the 2007 First Element project.
